an 800-acre wetland mitigation bank and has grown
to now encompass a total of 1,600 acres today.
High Point Mitigation was established August 2001 and is located in Livingston Parish, Louisiana. The company protects a 1,600 acre wetland mitigation bank, originally wetland areas converted to other uses, but is now revitalized to its original wetland habitat after High Point Mitigation executed a plan with the Louisiana Department of Natural Resources to restore the land.
The long-term goal of High Point is to enhance and maintain a productive forested wetland ecosystem that functionally compensates for unavoidable development by other entities in the area. By placing conservation servitudes on the land, High Point ensures that these restored forested wetland areas will never be developed.
